Wanderlust Anxiety

You ever visited a place and suddenly wanted to move there? I get that feeling for every place I’ve been to… I’ve said several times “I can picture myself living here”.

Now I’m restless in the sense of being in the same state my whole life… Georgia. Home sweet home but I’m craving more! I’ve never lived anywhere else and would love to see what that’s like, but my partner grew up a military brat and has seen countries I’ve only dreamed of. She has no desires of leaving GA and I can understand why, like for her growing up she’s had to repack and make new friends every couple of years, so moving around for her had gotten old before she had a chance to want to voluntarily move elsewhere.

So where does that leave me, the person craving to spread my wings in unfamiliar territory. I think the only way to satisfy the craving of wanting to be elsewhere is to actually travel places and live like a local, party where they party and do the things they do versus doing the touristy stuff. There are places I would love to stay for weeks and other places I would only stay a weekend … what ever it is the key is to just go and have the best of both worlds.
